Honestly I have no idea how it is “on the continent” but there isn’t a problem here in Sweden.. or anywhere in the nordic region for that matter. But ofc we are also the biggest newspaper consumers in the world so it kind of comes naturally.
Edit: No newspaper in western Europe is “going out of business” though sales are down in some countries as you can see in the comment below mine. And apparently sales are only dropping in Europe and the US and increasing in Asia.
Having just scanned some information:
UK sales down 7%
German sales down 9%
French sales down 4%
Swiss sales down 1%
Spain no change
couldn’t find other counties info.
